April Lockhart

April Lockhart is a born on July 4th April, 1995. When she was in the 7th grade she began taking guitar lessons and piano lessons. It was this that ignited her love for music writing. April's very first song was called Different which she composed when she was 12 years old. At 14, April spent much time writing and honed her musical ability. Soon, April began to take trips in NY and LA with her Dad so that they could both to write songs. April also included additional topics in her song"Take my Hand. These topics were for friends that dealt with issues such as peer pressure issues or even teenage suicide thinking. Lockhart is a beauty and lifestyle influencer with an ever-growing following. She is a partner with the popular brand Ilia together, as well as being a specialist in lifestyle. Her birth was without a left hand. It's an aspect of her identity, but it's hardly her whole story. The profile of Lockhart on Instagram does not hide her disability but doesn't focus solely on her disability. What message is it trying to convey? That we all contain multitudes and that we are all unique and that we are more than our physical selves. It's not my intention to let that define me I don't want to be a disability influencer where it's the only thing I discuss because there are many different aspects to me Lockhart speaks via video from her home in Nashville. And it doesn't affect my daily life. I conduct every day as normal and have found my own method of adjusting the things. It's also part of me, so I believe it's important to talk about. Lockhart is a true source of motivation for self-acceptance generally she is on a long road to reach it. Even so, Lockhart admits that she has had periods that made her feel uncomfortable about her appearance and wearing clothing that showed her arms. She wears whatever she wants and posts photos of herself wearing the clothes she wears on social platforms. What makes self-love so appealing to her is that it's not a goal. It's the same for everybody regardless of the level of insecurity. It's my opinion that having those close to you who truly know you and see the depths of your soul is vital as they'll be the ones who remind you What are you worried about?
